On my way into work this morning and all of a sudden thud, low power and shifting was weird. Had the car running 10 minutes before I leave every morning to warm up because of how cold it’s been. Got into work and won’t go into reverse. Any other people have this issue?? Have the 2.7

Do you have a scanner so you can check for OBD II codes? But, obviously, you need to take it to your dealer.

ELM style scanners are very inexpensive. Link that wirelessly to a free app on your mobile phone. Do note, be careful to purchase a scanner that works with your phone type (iPhone = Bluetooth LE, Android = Bluetooth).

Helpful link. https://www.obdadvisor.com/elm327/

I recommend the App “Car Scanner” or “FORScan Viewer”. Both are free, FORScan Viewer just works on Ford/Mazda and offers a bit more info then just basic Engine / Fuel report out.

That happened to me...it was one of the turbo pipes that came loose.

I posted this awhile back...although mine was around 65-70 mph ..weird shifting (which I think is just part of low power mode /limp mode) I don’t remember having problems with reverse.

if you have the Ford App it may tell you more about the fault code

It didn't cause your engine failure but 10 minutes to warm up your vehicle is unnecessary. 60-90 seconds is all a vehicle needs to begin gently driving to achieve operating temps.

I did. My issues was related to an issue I had shifting to 4L and it got stuck in 4L (there is another thread on this). Had it towed to the dealer, they clear the error codes and seems to be fine now.

I'd like to see a window unfog in 60-90 sec with no engine heat.

Interesting. My windows don't fog until I would get into the vehicle. I just crack my window and that generally alleviates the issue.

But 10 minutes probably lets your car warm up so you're comfortable once you get inside.

ahhhh hoping I was immune to this. My 2.7 did the same thing last night. Luckily I got it home. Coughing, sputtering, conking out on me...... not fun!!! Working on getting it towed to the dealer now!!!!!

Dealer fixed it that day. They only had it for 2 hours. It is a known issue, under the passenger footwell there is a connection peice that is known to be put on wrong. Running great since that
