Was driving all day yesterday and got back to the city and car wouldnt go from the stop light. I turned it off and on and it started working again. Then everytime roughly between 1st and 2nd gear, the RPMs would drop to idle and I would have to floor it to keep the car from stalling. Happened at every light until I got home. The service warning came on and FordPass says "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power". Dont feel safe driving it right now. Called every dealer within 60 miles this morning and earliest available time I am getting is 1 month from now! New car (2/2022) and and have to park it for a month! (2,200 miles on it) Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I can take to a non-ford repair shop?

Hello, Ali! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this concern. Thanks!

Update: I called Ford Customer Experience Specialist. They created a ticket and just called local dealers, which I had already done. They wont allow me to see a non-ford repair center (or else my warranty would be void), nor do they have any solutions other than calling dealers like I had. Honestly, if I had known it was this hard to get a warranty service done, I would never have bought this Bronco. I think you should check how busy your local dealers are. As of now my 4 month old car will sit at least a month.

My brand new 2022 Bronco OB died twice during my morning commute.
Apparently the Powertrain Control Module needs to be replaced.
The part is not currently available in North America.
Not sure if you can help, but I am not very happy.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Hello All. Been reading the forums for awhile, first time posting, hope this is the right spot. After 2 plus years of waiting we picked up our 2022 Bronco 2 door Badlands 2.7 Lux (build date 6/30/2022) at the dealership on Saturday, only to get 2 dreaded warnings within an hour of driving it off the lot. First, the wrench popped up with "Power Train Malfunction" and second, the Check Engine light with "Turbo Charger Wastegate may be stuck closed." Needless to say we are upset. Drove back to the dealer and are waiting on a diagnosis ***when they can get to us*** but doesn't sound good from reading the forums. Anyone else with a summer build date encounter this issue? We had the car less than a day. Can't believe at this point the car could come out of the factory with these issues.

UPDATE: Service ran a 38 point diagnostic. Was indeed a problem with wastegate and needs a new Actuator. Part is special order and won't be ready for a month, so probably 6 weeks out from repair. Was told to take Bronco home and drive it with no worries (yeah right, no worries...). It seems to be driving fine for now. Was told if we get flashing service light to have it towed in, but that scenario was highly unlikely.

just received the same warnings, plus several others. Wouldn’t turn over but I was able to jump it and drive to a dealership. The Parking brake warning beeped and flashed during the entire drive.
Had it in to a different dealer 2 weeks ago And told about the slow start and the warning Id been getting for a couple weeks: “ System off to save battery. Please turn system off or start ignition“.
That dealer said they charged the battery for 4 hours and if the warning persisted to let them know. 3 days later I got the same warning and scheduled service at a different dealer, which is set for tomorrow.
TODAY the Bronco freaked out completely and didn’t turn over at all. It only clicked, flashed headlights, and threw warnings
“Check 4x4”, “Service Engine” “ Park brake fault service now“ “Full accessory power active”.
This dealer will get to it tomorrow during my scheduled appointment.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Just had the same error come thru on my FordPass app today. Very little boost from the turbo. Got home and restarted the bronco, no lights and seems to work fine for now. Goes to the dealership Monday morning. If it is indeed a wastegate problem, I wish there was a aftermarket upgrade to replace it with.
