I plan on stuffing my Kids in the back of my 2 door and having some good clean family fun, just like the old days. Just like this:

where have the good days gone where people stuffed their family in two door vehicles and went out into the wilderness??

all of us parents have the right to know kid seat fitment!

I'm not into babies, nor do I own one, but why is that baby seat more pimp than my computer chair?? I actually do work in my chair, babies just sit there shitting themselves. Is this typical, or is this like the Prada of baby seats?
I actually bought a car seat to match my autocross car's seat. Then I moved to Texas where there are actual tracks and did it for something a little faster... Now I am thinking about reupholstering to match

Yeah things kinda escalated. I thought ppl were joking at first.

1. Yes if you use a seat protector use an approved one by your seat manufacturer. I can’t imagine what difference it actually makes but a name brand one like Britax is only $5 more than a knock off. Buy it from amazon returns. They label it new in box but it’s cheaper. It’s about to be trashed by your kids anyway.

2. To the person who asked if those were dope child seats. No. That seat was probably $60. Some of our significant others will only accept the ones that are $250+ ?‍♂

3. Speaking of the expensive seats, they add bulk and weight and PROBABLY not that much more safety. In my car I’ve got slimmer ones than my wife’s car.

See above that the latch system is standard. Seems goofy to use the seat belt.
Just for clarification, the LATCH system is to anchor the child seat/booster to the actual vehicle seat. The seatbelt (or shoulder/lap harness built into a child seat) is there to anchor the kid to the child seat/booster. These pictures don't show a seatbelt anchoring the child seat to the vehicle seat.

Think of a child seat/booster as a size adapter to put a small kid in a big chair.

I recommend the seat protectors you lay down between the carseat and the actual leather/vinyl/whatever. Not just for spills, but a lot of carseats have sharp edges that will indent the seat material.
Thanks, that’s a great idea. Had not thought of that.

just so you know - late availability on that car seat. and the kid is an aftermarket option only. kid will put the Bronco over GVWR
and depending on exterior color (Race Red) the blue seat and orange stitching may not work. Then we have additional black/greys to complicated things.

Lots of experts on this thread ?

I, too, stayed in a holiday inn express last night.

/s

actually I have 2 kids in car seats....so there’s that.
We have 4 identical seats between 3 cars. Yup that’s over $1k in car seats.

looks like it will be tight but we’ve been snugger in a VW Golf, Audi A4. Our Highlander has all the room though.
