All Auto manufacturers are having the problems. I drive by dealerships and their new lots are nearly empty.

Ford is shutting down plants for several weeks due to the shortage, but Michigan Assembly seems to be the exception.

I see the same thing in Michigan no new cars or trucks

That has no relevance anymore, whats important now is the upward trend...and that is a 50% increase in production and looking at 100% in a couple more months.
It was a joke.

glass half empty or half full🤷‍♂️
Our Bronco’s without chips, half empty or half full? 🤔😉 It was a joke.

If this gets worse, the June builds could make a mint on reselling their Broncos.

I know I’ve mentioned this before but it’s really time (and a great opportunity) for Ford and other companies to begin producing their own silicon. It would take a while for development etc but the investment would end up being so worth it. Chips literally run everything—Ford developing its own custom chips (ala Apple) could accelerate their tech advancements in the auto space and potentially insulate them from the pauses from suppliers. Not holding my breath though..
Intel is spending $20 Billion on new factories in Arizona and a new business venture to produce chips for other companies. Think x86, Arm, RISC-V chips for the government, IBM, Qualcomm, Microsoft, Google, and others. The CEO says the aim is to shift the balance of power back to the United States away from the concentrating power of the Taiwanese and Korean manufacturing companies. It will take several years for these new plants and foundries to come online.

There is more Nacho Cheese on 1 Dorito than your great-grandfather ate during his entire life.

China is not our friend. It is a brutal communist country set on world domination. Twain is in their sights and they will eventually get it. They are not our friends. It's time we wake up and smell the coffee. Anyone that speaks well about the Chinese government is probably on their payroll. Our policy should be America First, but looks like that ship has sailed.
