I don't get the point. NVH / HVAC performance will be way worse than either of the other two hardtops.

If you're trading NVH / HVAC performance for a view...just take the top off. Besides when it gets dirty the views are going to be terrible. Add in the views out of this thing aren't going to be good when it's raining anyways.

But someone will buy it I'm sure.

Thanks for posting, but I don’t see the value in $1100 for that.

The entire mid package is $1500.
The jump from mid to high is $1200.
The Jump from MIC to painted top is $1100.
The V6 engine is $1800.

its a sunroof. not exactly a new concept, it has merit, gives you light without the wind, rain, heat, or cold.
On cold days it's going to be a lot colder. Heat in the cabin will escape through the plastic. UNLESS you live in a place that's cold and has a high sun load, so pretty much anywhere but Denver.

On hot days it's going to be a lot hotter with a large greenhouse and no reflection.

That's a lot of cash for not much purpose.

Cool, but not worth the price given how easy it is to just take off the front panels.

eh, I think the cars HVAC system will be more than capable of keeping up with the loss of insulation to keep the cabin at a comfy 70 degrees.

obviously on a sunny day, no built in sun shade (except to swap to the opaque top), you'll feel the sun for sure, but that is what it is.
On cold days in my Jeep, I could definitely feel the chill on my head just with the normal hard top. HVAC could "keep up" with interior temp, but my head was definitely colder before I added a headliner to help.

I would expect that the lower R value of that single layer of plexiglass would make a difference, but conditions will be unique for everyone.

i on the contrary think it's a great idea. been talked about before if i recall. you get the overhead light but without the elements coming in. TBH, regarding NVH and temperature, a well done product won't be that big of a difference from the stock stop. there are other similar product out there that have different designs. the cost of that is a big negative. considering it's just plastic.
there's another version that uses acrylic and cuts it into your current top for the same price. JeeTops.

Volume. Tooling costs to mold those are VERY expensive.

Ford will buy 10s of thousands from their supplier. Clearlid might sell a thousand?
