I was just wondering what kind of life the manual clutch might have and how much replacement might cost. . I know that it depends on style of driving and all, But a ballpark number will suffice.

I mean it really varies, life wise, you could burn one out in 30k miles if you suck at driving... or in my case, my BMW has 155k miles on it, original clutch, and ive been running over 100hp over stock for 130k of those miles... so its all relative.

Depends on a lot of things. Quality being a huge issue. Toyota had a problem for years and 50K was a normal replacement figure. Most manuals I've had go well over 100K on a clutch.

Teach your wife and kids to drive it and lifespan goes way down though.

I think it's how you drive it. Obviously good quality makes a diff too. I have 238k on my 2011 Mitsu 5-spd manual and clutch is still going strong (knock on wood).

These days (if you know how to drive it), they last longer than the automatic transmission on my sons TJ did (122K miles).

I’ve had cars go 150k on original clutch and some not so long. My 03 350z had defective clutch and was replaced under warranty at 30k miles. My Current STi needed a clutch @ 70k miles but it started slipping while being dyno tuned with 400 wtq so that’s ok lol.

My 06 Mustang got a new clutch at 12 years 75k miles, it was about $800ish at AAMCO, it is the only one I have had to replace in all my years with manuals. I tend to think it is the first gear, hard to keep it under 5mph without feathering.

My Escapes lasted over 175k mile as did my Tacoma (145k) My 93 Mustang did 103k no problem and my 85 Mustang had 200k on it.

The slave cylinder is likely to give out long before the clutch itself. Clutches can have along life when not abused.

I've never had to change a clutch and I'm on my third manual car now. Two of those were hondas I drove until 175k and 120k miles. If you dump it to launch the car from a standstill and ride the clutch in traffic a lot you'll burn it quick.

The way it's looking I might not burn a clutch on a bronco either because I'm leaning toward that tasty v6.

240k on my 2011 Mitsu Lancer original clutch. But I never beat it or off-roaded it. Will be driving the Bronco differently so hope it holds up.

Mileage varies based on use. There are also other parts that could go first that may force the issue. Some of the JKs had some problematic throwout bearings. You may as well change the clutch if you are in there already...

I can tell you that I had a few pretty hard wheeling sessions that resulted in a nice aroma of clutch....3.73s on 35's with a 2.72:1 transfer case netting a 45.24 crawl ratio....not the best and hard on the clutch. All resulted in me not expecting 100k out of the stock unit.
