Sorry for delay.

We did not need a hitch extender to get past the spare tire. It’s a great, almost flush fit. Note: I do not believe that you would be able to flip up and stow the basket without an extender.

I don’t have a side view, but this unloaded view gives you a general idea of the fitment.

Have the same carrier. I usually use it with the wife's Navigator for long beach trips.

Love the carrier. Folds up when not in use so you can still park in spaces during a trip;. The bag that comes with it is a must to contain small pieces and be rain proof on a trip if so desired.

There is a locking mechanism piece that when tightened down really prevents movement. OP did you use this piece to keep it from swaying much?

And I use a hitch extended which allows me to open the trunk without too much difficulty when still using the extender as well.

Yes, we installed the anti-sway and I think it worked really well (at least from what I could see in the mirrors…that puppy wasn’t moving). I did replace the lock washers on the assembly because they were pretty gnarly when I pulled them off.
