I had the opportunity to go off roading with both versions (2dr vs. 4dr) in Austin. I was very impressed with both. I also was able to test the 2.3 vs. 2.7 and that is when I saw a difference going up the hills. 2.7 does it with very little effort. Most people say that they do not see a big difference between them on the road.
I am new to off roading and really enjoy the the experience. My question is there a difference between the way the 2 dr and 4dr responded / preform on the road. How much does the longer wheel base help or limit the driving experience on road and off road. In interest of full disclosure, I just chanced from a 2 dr to a 4dr and I had all about the negative reasons why that is a stupid idea. I am 50 years old and I care more about the experience then what people driving by think.
I am looking for a little input in regards to how the 2 dr performs vs. the 4dr.

Thanks!

In my limited experience, 2 door was better around town but the 4 door had better highway manners. After driving them at the off roadeo I'm starting to lean 4 door... which is weird because I was 100% 2 door before the off roadeo

Same here. It just seemed to me that the 4 dr was more stable. Both are great!!

Longer wheelbase will be better on the snow and icy roads and feel more stable. Shorter wheelbase feels like there is less control and feels more like a go cart in snow. Have not driven the bronco in snow yet but that’s from my experience here in Wyoming on other vehicles.
