I had the opportunity to go off roading with both versions (2dr vs. 4dr) in Austin. I was very impressed with both. I also was able to test the 2.3 vs. 2.7 and that is when I saw a difference going up the hills. 2.7 does it with very little effort. Most people say that they do not see a big difference between them on the road.
I am new to off roading and really enjoy the the experience. My question is there a difference between the way the 2 dr and 4dr responded / preform on the road. How much does the longer wheel base help or limit the driving experience on road and off road. In interest of full disclosure, I just chanced from a 2 dr to a 4dr and I had all about the negative reasons why that is a stupid idea. I am 50 years old and I care more about the experience then what people driving by think.
I am looking for a little input in regards to how the 2 dr performs vs. the 4dr.
Thanks!
