That must be sometime after the 50,000 miles I’ve already beat, drowned in 30” of water and ran hard in 100F conditions the one in my driveway. LOL

Maybe,but i dont associate longevity and ruggedness with an auto your results may vary.

How old is the one in your drive way? Sounds like Apple to oranges here. You have nothing to compare the auto Bronco to. Absolutely nothing. But problem free past 120k mi? If you’re drowning in 30”, and ran hard in 100F with a new Bronco? The Stealership says hello. You’ll be paying them a visit a few times. Bronco is not as rugged a vehicle in comparison to its earlier generations.

I am exactly comparing it to the auto Bronco. We are talking about the 10R80, same transmission that is in my Raptor, same one in the new Bronco and teh Raptor is throwing ~25% more torque through it than the Bronco will. That 10R80 has been whipped in real world off road racing and did just fine.

As far as rugged, I'd attempt the Baja 1000 with a new one before I tried it with any of the previous 5 gens of Bronco.

They torture tested this transmission to see what it could handle with 500+ ft/lbs of torque at the crank...

oh wait...

Back in Feb of 2016 Ford ran their pre production Gen 2 Raptor in all of these races:

Parker 425, Parker, Ariz.

Mint 400, Las Vegas

Laughlin Desert Classic, Laughlin, Nevada

Vegas to Reno, Nevada

Bluewater Challenge, Parker, Arizona

Pahrump Nugget 250

And of course the Baja 1000 (including the drive down and back up from AZ)

Same damn trans...and a hell of alot more proven then the China alternative.

Nice points. But ummm is the manual made in China? You know this for fact as they have 20+ locations worldwide

Agree it’s not confirmed but unfortunately it points that direction from some vendors and photos. Plus the gear ratios from the spec release match the 60 and not the 80. My only hope is the transmission code is different on Bronco but I’m 90% it’s the 10R60.
