After having the Big Bend with base stereo for a bit I finally went ahead and did a complete stereo overhaul. Went to see the guys over at Audiomaster in Austin and they knocked it out of the park.

The components are:

  • Audio Dynamics Point Source PS 343 tweeter/midrange combo in dash
  • Audiofrog GB 60 6.5" midwoofer in custom kick panels
  • Audiofrog GS 42 coaxials in rear pods
  • Audiomobile Encore 12" subwoofer in custom box
  • Helix V Eight DSP amplifier with Helix Conductor controller (base knob, etc.)
  • Soundigital 800 watt amplifier for subwoofer
  • Soundskins sound deadening

I asked them to make everything as stealth as possible which they did and with minimal modifications to the vehicle which they did. I honestly couldn't be happier with the result! I added some pics below for everyone.

The knob is a Helix Conductor controller which acts like a base knob and can also fade out the rear speakers

If it sounds as good as it looks itll be awesome. Just curious to why the kick panel plate and not just mount behind the stock piece?

Because the midwoofer is very deep plus the stock plastic is flimsy.

Very nice. Does the helix amp have built in dsp?
Yes it does!

I have definitely been out of the car audio scene for a long time. I've never heard of any of those brands

MASSIVE AMOUNT OF SPACE DEDICATED TO A SUB.
What about 2x smaller subs stashed under some seats or something...
or cut a hole in the back and install a metal box from under the vehicle.
or listen to Yacht Rock....

I have heard that Audiofrog is highend. I tested on Crutchfield and sounded great. Nice job, but you must really like your music!

Because if you do that then the seats can't fold down... plus I've heard some 6" subs under seats and they get decently loud but just don't hit that deep, the other side of the box without the sub has storage space that is hidden too.

Ya it was started by a former sound engineer for JBL, the midwoofers are ridiculous it sounds like a drum set is in my truck :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Nice work! Install Looks familiar to my build I posted months ago, hmm?

I have two tens and rear filler floor has storage underneath and is actually a great place to hide anything you do not want seen. I can remove it, pivot it up to access tools if needed.
