$7Kish... I decided to just get the best so I don't have to upgrade in the future, plus I plan to keep the Bronco for at least 8 years.
OOOOOF, I did everything under $2k and its an amazing sound stage with great non distorted bass ... plus i lost almost ZERO cargo space

I have a 2-door coming soon and want to upgrade the stock system. What did you install? $2K is within my range, $7K is way out of the park.

Front: $660

Kicker 200.4 amp installed under the steering wheel $225 (special on Crutchfield)
Memphis Audio 6.5" 4 ohm woofer $130 each (Crutchfield)
Hertz Cento CX100 4" $175/Pair (Amazon on sale)

---------------------------------------------------------

Back: $375

Hertz Cento CX100 4" $175/Pair (Amazon on sale)
Kicker 200.4 amp installed left wheel well cargo area $200 (refurbished Best Buy)

---------------------------------------------------------

Sub and Amp: $740

Kicker 500.1 amp installed left wheel well cargo area $280 (Amazon)
Stinger 12" Sub installed on tail gate $460 (Amazon)

Note:- found this sub on a Jeep Forum .... i like it a lot, for the space saving aspect and just as important its not covered with carpet which makes it a horrible dust magnet when you go offroading (at least in Arizona anyway)

---------------------------------------------------------

Wiring kits for everything: $130

Total: Under $2G
---------------------------------------------------------

1st I did everything myself so I saved a lot in labor,
2nd I shopped around vigorously
3rd the only thing I needed help with was the use of a special tool for mounting the sub on the tailgate

Ford Bronco Complete Stereo Overhaul (Upgrade From Base Stereo)! Stinger Sub

You need a Rivet Nut Insertion tool .... the installation instructions have a work around if you're like me and dont want to buy another tool for a one time use.
But i wanted to stick to the recommended way so I got help from a local store just for that.

Forgive my ignorance but you used two of the kicker 200.4 amps?

I’d thought just one handled the front and rear speakers ? (And then you could add a separate amp for a sub?)

Here I am fretting about whether or not to remove Sasquatch from my cursed build. 😞

depends on how you wire it .... 4 speakers in the front so i used each of the 4 channels on the amp for each speaker.

did the same in the back, so i have two unused channels.

I have around 1k in mine and it sounds fantastic. No distortion at full volume and bass is dialed down. There is also a Kicker Key 200.4 on the backside of my amp panel that connects to my LCI7 as is the larger Kicker Amp is running mono at one ohm load. Alpine S series in the front dash and kicks and Pioneer Ts in the rear pod. 2 Kicker 10” dual ohm subs. I would put it up against any for sound quality. The Key is running DSP and was tuned with pink noise.

Car audio install costs really depend on whether custom building and extra fabrication are being done. This build had plenty of that. Skilled craftspeople deserve premium compensation. DIY plug and play parts swapping/zip tying/splicing/cutting/screwing/gluing after patiently tracking down deals, endlessly researching procedures and inevitably cursing your way through the bowels of the Bronco’s interior is admirable but if you have the resources to just YOLO it then why not?

Big mark ups in car audio so if you find a good shop, there’s lots of room to negotiate on prices👍

On my wildtrak gets here. I’m planning on doing a system that will probably be in the 2K price. Probably in the 3500/ 4K MSRP price.

I just added a complete audio system in my new GT500 about a year ago and I went a little overboard with that project😂
