This is another option. They fab plates for the tweeters and the 6.5”.

I want to go components up front rather than the 6.5” and 4”, I’ll be using the Kicker Key 200.4. I’m having some analysis paralysis choosing speakers. I always ran Boston Acoustics in everything through 2012 or so, but I haven’t built a sound system since then. I’m looking at something in the $300-400 range sonde I’m only buying one pair. I prefer a soft tweeter with a smoother sound to an aluminum tweeter. The JL Audio and the Kicker below are my current top two. The kicker 6.75” apparently can get down to 35 Hz, the JL is probably higher quality overall. I don’t know anything about Memphis or Morel. The Morel does have the cpas and coils built on to the speakers rather than separate crossovers, also 94dB sensitivity.

Interested in how this works for you and whether you mids are harder to discern because they are down low in the kick.My set up:
Alpine Tough Power Pack 300X1 Factory subwoofer enclosure.
K2 Series 2-Way Component 6.5in
JL XD 4-Channel Amplifier (100x4)
Focal ACX 100
Get this metal strap and bend it to fit. That’s what I did for only a buck. Look at the 4th image in the link below to get a better idea. It’s not the prettiest but since it’s behind the grill cover I didn’t really care.Having professionally installed... They wanted $350 to Fab a plate.. these are $25 for set
Installation starts Monday will report backInterested in how this works for you and whether you mids are harder to discern because they are down low in the kick.
