I am a bit concerned about recent convo with sales rep. I contacted him about changing to a soft top build to get it faster.
He proceeded to tell me he can’t change orders to a soft top, and the only available tops are the MIC. He said it isn’t even an option to order the soft tops anymore. I told him he had it backwards. He told me Ford USA is way different than Canada. I am calling his sales manager Monday. I am very concerned about who I am doing business with

I contacted my salesman after last weeks email to let him know that I would contact him after August to update my order to a soft top only because I wanted to guarantee that I received a Bronco with the hard top hook-ups. I may hold off a bit if MY22 B&P is close to dropping then.
He responded to let him know when I wanted to change and that I was very in tune with what was going on. I hope you guy figures it out. B6G continues to rock with the info.

Yeah, that’s a strange response from them…

I found my salesperson to be far less knowledgeable than her manager was. I now directly email him, as he’s the dealerships “Bronco Specialist” and actually keys the vehicle orders and is spearheading this. Not only is he more helpful, I keep an open dialogue with him to share some key info I find out here. He even admitted they see very little info from Ford, and thanked me for sharing the info I do with him.

I’m sure you’ll get it sorted out by speaking with their sales manager, or whoever their “Bronco Specialist” will be. Good luck!

According to my dealer, they cannot make any changes to a Bronco order once it has been submitted and accepted. I asked about changing my order and they told me that if my order is changed I will be at the back of the list.

This is a Bronco only issue. I changed the order on my 21 F150 3 weeks before it was built and had no issues.

My dealer told me that in March, a month after the cut off for changes. But I wonder, given the hard top situation, if that has changed. I often wonder if I could change colour and if this situation gives me the opportunity to do so.

I live in Ontario and changed my order a couple weeks ago with no problem. As long as I don't have a VIN I can change my order.

That is my understanding too - the VIN locks you in because that is the point at which you were (at least initially) scheduled for production. Until you get a VIN, you are free to “tinker” with your order.

….Don’t be a pain the ass though and change your options daily.

Situation may be a little more unique... But I hope it isn't!
I had my heart set on a MOD top from the get go. Then it was announced as a late availability item. Okay, fine...
And the not available til MY22... Damn, okay... So I 99'ed my order.
Then, of course, the MY23 email! I then changed my roof option to MIC and priority code my order to 10.
All this amidst MAP shutdown and no new scheduling announcements!

I think technically my rez date should still matter, but I can't help but think I would of been much better off going MIC top the entire time.
