I went back and forth on the switches and just couldn't justify them - possible I could use one or two at the most, but having a bunch of switches up there doing nothing bothers me. I do want some accessory lights, but I'll get the switches I need when I need them.

As for the accessory rail - I've not seen it or heard anything about it recently. I suspect it will end up as an accessory available next year. But should be easy to add to MY2021 units.

Warn 10k winch is rated at 502amps... pretty sure a 250amp would melt down.

no reason to add complexity..The winch has solenoids, you are adding a solenoid for the solenoid. Winch power cables directly to the battery. If you want, you can put in a battery disconnect. If you want to go high tech, a remote battery disconnect. Simple is a manual disconnect

Want both https://www.bluesea.com/products/7700/ML-RBS_Remote_Battery_Switch_with_Manual_Control_-_12V_DC_500A
Well, it's not rocket science, just get a larger relay, or power the solenoid and not the motor.

I'm getting a Black Diamond so forced into them. The horse horn is pretty good. I hope I can wire two others to a garage door opener. If I can do all that, I'll be happy. Otherwise I might end up with 5 different horns and I'll train my dog to fetch a beer when he hears Chewbacca or something.

Was wondering how much use I would get out of these switches, but thinking I'll end up using 4-5 in short order.

Planning on one of the Rigid light kits (like what they offer for the Raptor), probably white fogs, amber fogs, and driving. So that's 3 switches.

Rock lights on another. And I'm really considering that horse horn just for fun. That only leaves one more for something later on.

They have a programmable model that allows loading your own MP3 sounds, which seems like a better way to go. However, it seems to only allow 4 sounds maximum, which is probably OK, but there are some others that will allow a lot more. I'd skip the ones from horntones.com as they force you to use their web site to upload sounds and charge to do so. I saw some options on Alibaba, including at least one that said it was waterproof.

How do you deal with the fact that the switch interacts with the 12 volt system of the vehicle? I had visions in my head of resistors to bring down the voltage and whatever relays and fuses were necessary to keep the vehicle from frying the opener.
Not going to mess with all that, and I'm not spending the money on LUX package. I think I'll either go with this: https://www.amazon.com/HomeLink-60-HMLKV5BLK-Wireless-Control-Headliner/dp/B00A79G9FY

Or just transfer my "system" from the old Bronco to the new:

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how I would implement a battery kill switch to one of the upfitter switches. Thank you in advance!

Camper here... for as often as I need a winch or compressor I’ll use a manual come-along or a portable 12V compressor.

1. left mirror-mounted pod light
2. right mirror-mounted pod light
3. red light bar and/or infrared light for night-time campsite driving (not sure if the front camera switches to IR in the dark)
4. Cargo area lighting for tailgate backpack/meal prep
5. Open
6. Open

list of maybe’s:
- auxiliary rapid heater for the cabin
- heated rear seats
- more internal lights
- more external lights
- engine block heater circuit with 2nd battery
- power disconnect for trailer lights (a nice redundancy when launching boats)
- charging circuit for camper/trailer/backup /accessory battery
- power disconnect for any random fused circuit in the truck that’s inconvenient to disable otherwise (auto stop/start? Door lights? Usb outlets? ...not sure)

I’ll also add a switched work light under the hood. One of those things that you rarely need but are thankful for it when you do. Some folks may want something like that connected to an aux switch.
