Nice! Yeah, I doubt these will show up on dealership floors until after we've ordered but it will still be nice to be able to test drive one before I'm sitting at Granger picking mine up. Here's hoping there's a decent amount of manuals in that allotment.

These will definitely draw traffic to the dealers. Much like when VW release the “new” Beetle or Nissan’s GTR...dealers were pushing hard to have customers walk out with a different car.

I can see someone walking in to check out the new Bronco and leaving in a new Focus, Edge or Bronco Sport.

So, the dealers aren't expected to get any inventory for the 2021 model year, or maybe within seven months.

They'll be fully functional units that the dealership can sell once Ford has switched over to my22 (the 7 month reference). Now, whether the dealer near you parks it on the floor and refuses to let anybody drive it, that's a different animal.

I'm concerned about this too. It's a main reason I haven't hounded any local dealers to see AMB on an F150 yet. "Oh you want me to spend my time to show you a vehicle you aren't going to buy?"

Although interesting, I don't take this as good news. it just pushes our builds back by X thousands of units produced before ours. Units we will not see before order. I suppose it might help Ford work out kinks in production though.

seems like this is simply way to drive walk in retail traffic for 2022 orders.

they should have had these delivered well in advance of the ordering window.

You could back out of your reservation before taking delivery even after ordering. If you drive and determine that you don't like it that much. You don't pay for it till you take delivery.
