For 10 bucks, you can get a one month online subscription at cosumerreports.org to check out the ratings on the 2020 Ranger and anything else they rate
Or you can just read my post #39:

Here is the CR data for the Explorer, Escape and Ranger. This shows the standard CR break out of issues by systems.

We have also had a Pilot and my wife got rid of in a month. Riddled with issues. There's really no modern car now that is stellar. Each brand has some good stuff and some trash. Some models are hit and miss. Ford body on frame builds are generally the most consistent over the years in overall reliability. We will be fine with the Bronco. Really, most all of the components have had a few years on the road.

The Consumer Reports survey said. “Owners reported numerous transmission replacements, along with drive system, in-car electronics, power equipment and engine and body hardware issues.”

I don't think people take the Explorer out for four wheeling, but yet they've had these issues.

Better get that extended warranty!
That article makes it sound like the problem is the plant in Chicago.

I completly understand you swearing off Ford after the Pinto fireball fiascos. A lot has changed since then but you still have to carefully consider the reliability of every brand and model. "Trust but verify", oh wait wrong quote, "study, consider and verify".
LOL, I have to jump in here in defense of the Pinto. I owned four (4) Pintos between 1978 to 1989; three were 1972, and one a 1973. So you can Google it, but the Pinto fireball reputation was pretty much a myth propagated by Ralph Nader and The Center for Auto Safety. Post hysteria evaluation of the Pinto safety data found that the Ford Pinto was actually safer than its contemporaries from both foreign and domestic manufacturers; more Americans died in fires in the Toyota Corolla. None of my Pintos ever broke and they took the abuse of a wild-ass 16 year old with aplomb. Plus, the drivetrain was German or English if you had the 1.6L Kent. The 2.0L (TL2.0) Pinto engine has powered many race cars over the last 40 years; it's quite stout and takes to performance modification very well.

My Fords have been the aforementioned Pintos, a '82 Escort, '87 Ranger STX, and '99 F150 work truck. The F150 I was not impressed with. I'm looking forward to reuniting with FoMoCo. :)

No worries on Honda, my wife's 2000 Odyssey only went through four transmissions, one grenaded a/c system and a very finicky sliding door.

Consumer reports is a joke it pans everything but the imports. I wouldn't use CR for anything but to wipe my arse on that is if I were out of toilet paper.
