I don't think Ford will come close to their expectation of 70%. My guess is a shade under 50%.
My Dealer, who is the largest in NorCal is saying the same, said Sport conversions were low, and he would be surprised if the Bronco exceded 50%

With the uncertainty of 2020 for many people and the stilted roll out 50% in MY21 seems right. Between 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years, I think Ford will reach 70% of their initial reservers.

I originally said 30% on the poll
But they may hit 40%.

70% just seems absurd.
Considering covid and how all types of businesses haven’t done well.
I’m in health care and we had 2 months that were total losses

If they would have followed the original timeline and had us place our orders in December I think they may have achieved their 70% conversion rate. The delays, allocation drama and commodity restraints pushing many orders to MY22 will definitely lower conversion rates. People will wait if they know how long but we all have our personal limits. The fact that the most desirable options will be late availability will cause many to jump ship.

We are an enthusiast forum and we know more than about the Bronco than everyone except for Ford themselves. The average person that put down $100 doesn't know anything but what their dealer tells them. If they are contacted and told it will be another year before delivery many will cancel.

I think actual conversion rates will be in the 35-45% range.

So where does this latest allocation delivery story put the Conversion percentage outlook?
I'm still holding at 40% overall. I think it would be interesting to see conversion rate based on reservation date. I can see a bunch of cancellations of reservations that were made day 3 and later but still considered an early reservation holder. Late reservation holders had no expectation of getting a MY21 so the allocation news shouldn't affect their decision. But those who missed the cut-off had a reasonable expectation of getting their Bronco this year. That rug has been pulled out from under their feet.

Edit: Damn, I thought I was responding to your poll thread not this redundant thread.

Wait, What? Did the redundant thread get merged into the poll thread?

Yes, Doug's keeping things organized.
