What and miss out on signing the paperwork at the dealer? I luv the extended warranty, clear coat, concierge service package offers….plus the free bad coffee and room temp bottle of water. That is after hearing the sales person sad life story.

Would be a cool experience if you got to drive it off the end of the line. Otherwise, no point really. Still gotta do all the paperwork at the dealership anyway.

It’ll never happen. And knowing Ford’s stellar communication skills, they’d likely give you the keys to a Jeep by accident… And the wrong pick-up address…

Well, I would say I would be more than happy to buy it directly form Ford, versus a dealer. The typical franchise laws that prevent direct manufacturer sales have or will coming to an end in some states. There are a load of issues with all this, but in the future the legal mandate that vehicles are sold through dealers is likely to no longer exist.

No. UAW prevents it iirc. Even the vettes delivered to museum are transported via carrier down the road from the plant first.

This, plus every state's dealer franchise protections. Would imagine factory delivery would break hundreds of different laws overall and likely multiple per delivery when combining federal/state and Union agreements/laws.

After seeing that video of the 100s (maybe 1000s?) of Broncos sitting in the lot, yes, I would like to go save my Bronco from sitting out there like that.

No, because Ford doesn't actually sell direct to consumers. They sell to dealers.
