I had the windshield recall done a couple weeks ago and noticed last week the cowl panel isn't aligned anymore and is touching my hood. I called the service dept a couple times and left a message but I feel like this is something that should take me two seconds to fix on my own. Can someone explain how the pieces are supposed to go together so I can try to snap it back in place?

You MUST take it back in so the dealer service manager knows they ”F”ed it up!

It’s CLEARLY not installed correctly.

In accordance with the procedure posted (Thanks!), the “front tabs” do not appear to be in the slots. I wonder what kind of an idiot would do that and not see that it’s not fully in place. Probably not the glass guy who removed it.

Just wanted to add they sub out the glass work, it was the glass shop that re-installed it. I'll call the dealer again I guess

Yes. I had mine completed and you are correct they sub out the glass work. Still, the dealer needs to know how/why this happened.

If you open your hood and damage it (the hood), you will really be pissed.

I am pleased to report that the dealer I went to (and their glass subcontractor) completed the work without any flaws. I was terrified however that it was going to get “F”ed up somehow.

Took it back to the dealer, there are broken tabs and they ordered me a new panel. Hopefully it won't take forever to come in

Got my new cowl panel installed today and it looks great! Noticed while backing in my driveway I can see my passenger wiper, they are not aligned correctly, can someone post a photo of where they should sit ? I'm ready to fix it myself I don't want to go back a 3rd time 😭

Looks like there is a rubber cover on the hold down bolt. You may need to use a ratchet/socket on it to loosen it a bit, then lift it and rotate it and tighten it back up? I know on the f-150 it has a tab you lift up and then you can lift and rotate the wiper arm. It looks as tho' the Bronco does not have that...? Otherwise, let the dealer do it, but make them do it while you watch so you can make sure it's right...

Thank you, I thought mine both looked wrong, I was digging through my pictures and couldn't find a good straight on one. It looks like I need a puller, I'm just going to call in the morning and see if I can stop by with it on the weekend.

You shouldn't need a puller. It should pop right off after pulling the nut off.
