Similar issue except I don't have the 2 rugrats but have 3 dogs. I have a hitch haul but with the Squatch pkg, I have to extend that one out away from the hitch to clear the spare. I did come across this.....https://americanadventurelab.com/product/mass-spare-tire-platform-stp/

On the expensive side but it’s TIG welded in America and stores really well. It’ll last a long time and won’t rust. Supports 500 pounds.

Keep in mind though the tongue weight maxes out at 350.
