Anyone come up with a cover, cap, slip-over thingy for the open ends of the crash bars to prevent debris or water from getting in there and potentially rusting, etc?

You would think Ford would have done that. It takes so much work cleaning the mud out of those things.

Once I get mine (Dirt mountain top being replaced this month) I will CAD something up and 3D print them. I can share the CAD data.
Might have to pay you to ship me some!

Blast some closed cell foam inside to rust proof and fill the volume. I am going to use the crash beam sockets to integrate a grill guard and bumper into as mounting points...

hmm, interesting point. They sure stick out there all open and naked. I'd buy a plastic or rubber cover just to make cleaning easier, not really concerned about them rusting out. But I live where it hardly ever rains.
But now that I read this I'm gonna want a cover, because I'll see them every day in their open glory until then, LOL

Im just going to cut mine off. If not running the crash bar inserts they serve no purpose at all

The bars themselves just unbolt and remove but I plan to cut off the stubs that are welded to the frame as I never plan to ever reinstall them
