The 2.3 scoots my Ranger around really quickly once the 10 speed transmission wakes up. I think it will just be fine in the Bronco (which is only a little porkier)I wonder how it compares to my 97 TJ. The TJ has the 4.0 six and 5 speed manual. Fun to drive around town but very slow. It has only 180 HP, I believe. But I am a little disappointed how heavy the Bronco is going to be. On the other hand I did test drive a 2020 F 150 (extra cab, not crew) with the 2.7 and was very surprised the get up and go. So the 2.7 should move the Bronco pretty good. The 2.3 we will have to see I guess. With a manual it might be fine. The automatic does benefit from 10 gears though, keeping the power band available.
