With the big scheduling happening this week , is there anything that can be added back that wont impact my production schedule..

My current Build BL, Sas, Lux, Leather, soft top

Thinking to Add Hard top, and towing back. Or should I just leave it alone?

Whatā€™s your dealerā€™s allocation, and where are you in line on that allocation? Thatā€™s the bigger question. Even if your order is unscheduled/clean, if your dealer doesnā€™t have enough allocation to get to your order, it wonā€™t get scheduled.

Anyone who gives you a definitive answer would be lying.
Ha. I agree. Iā€™d say itā€™s a toss up between building it and shipping it. šŸ¤Ŗ I was so fortunate to get past all of that but I know what it feels like. Agony.

Yeah I'd really like to know if towing is a constrant. Everyone (incl dealers) say it is, yet just about every Bronco I see or hear about has it.

For the kind of money you are spending get the truck you want. Itā€™s a crap shoot on them building it according to any commodities list, and the hard top makes it a different vehicle. Add the hard top, tow, and the roof rack (whether you want it or not, itā€™s cheap on the order and you could easily resell).

I'll add the example for my two builds from the same dealer FWiW.

7/20/20 res order 1/2021 and again in October of 2021 - not scheduled, no VIN yet. 620 days since reservation and 444 days since first ordered in January of 2021.
4dr/OBX/MIC/2.7/LUX/SAS/Leather/Tube doors

12/09/21 walk in order - same exact build except subtracted SAS/MIC/tube doors

Delivery 4/13 to dealer for my pick up on 4/14. 123 days from order to delivery.

So in my case, MIC and/or SAS mattered a lot. I was told I was the 22nd order from my dealer, I"m not sure on how many allocations they have as that seems to be a moving target each month but they have delivered 18 Broncos(I was told) total as of last week, not including ones they bought used and flipped.

My thoughts are more based on color choice. Did you pick a color that might not be available next year if you are pushed? And if that color is more important to you I would use that to base your constraints.

Most importantly is to get the car you want even if the wait is longer.

The MIC is always going to be the biggest constraint until they fix the fiasco at Webasto. My brother and I reserved, at same dealer, (7/14/2020) the the same exact Bronco (BL, SAS, 2.7l, tow, with the MIC top) except color. I switched to a soft top at the first deadline in 2021. My Bronco was built Oct 2021 and delivered 11/9/2021. He is still waiting for his Bronco to be scheduled. Yeah, it may have to do with the tow as well, but softieā€™s are going to be built first. Just my two cents.

Just because Ford is scheduling through the end of July doesn't mean it's a "BIG" scheduling week" or that there are any fewer constrained items or that Ford will be building more Bronco's than during previous scheduling runs.

When i switch to a soft top I received build date a month later. I
am ok paying for an aftermarket hard top later, in order to get a My2022. But it will add (+-)5k to my overall cost of the vehicle, assuming you want or need a hard top.
