I've noticed a very recent trend of escapism vs. hairpulling. Reckon it's a good thing. Let me know if you want to join in on my retelling of the Iliad from a Bronco reservationist's perspective.

As chubbs would say, find your happy place, lets all start there. But in the middle the happy place definitely isn't happy, then again to end it where we are now the real happy place

Disillusion can be a good thing if your perspective is reoriented towards reality. I had the illusion last year that I could order what I wanted. The build and price crushed that pretty decisively and I settled. I was hopeful that I could have the Bronco I reserved last year this year. Ford (and Webasto) did an excellent job of tearing down that false hope. For my side of things, I had planned on having $5000 saved up for a down payment up front. I'm close, but not quite there yet and another couple of months should see that happen. I also put my hunting property up for sale and it hasn't sold yet, so a few more months of waiting could mean the difference between a 60 month loan and a 6 month credit score building payoff of a brand new Bronco.

I wish I had my Bronco to vacation in this fall like I had hoped. Now, I am a bit more relaxed hoping I can pay for it outright sometime next year without making plans to drive it before I actually get it.

I'm just... tired...

Tired of waiting for Ford to get it's act together.
Tired of driving an automatic transmission.
Tired of this whole damn Panic-demic
Tired of putting up with a job that doesn't appreciate me.
Tired of... Tired of being tired.

Just me?

Knew that last Thursday was going to be the last hurrah for a 2021. My dealer emailed me my VIN 8 hours before Ford sent me my golden ticket. Hell of a ride...

From excitement at the start....to ordering swag and accessories. Passed up on a nice Jeep (was going to sell all the Bronco stuff)....decided to wait. Tired of broken promises and deadlines. Now like a deflated balloon....the excitement is gone. I decided I would trade my F150 for a new Ranger Tremor Lariat......so I ordered one. Now I wait for that too....hoping that at least the Tremor may get here by Christmas. (yeah...I did myself in twice). The Bronco....since I ordered a 2 door...my guess is I will be lucky to have it by the end of Summer 2022....a 2 year wait. I have decided; no more reservations, no more orders.....if it's not on the lot, it wont be in my garage. Ford blew it on this launch......it all cannot be blamed on the pandemic and resulting supply issues.

I am hoping there will be more scheduling this week....some "clean up" scheduling.

After 16 months with a week 1 res I've still only ever seen one on the road and it had out of state tags. I'm pretty sure there are still well over 100 ahead of me at my dealer. At this point I keep myself sane by pretending the whole thing was a joke / scam, but I don't want anything else on the market so here I am.
