Might the new Bronco have custom paint options available from the factory, and if so, how much does that usually cost? I like the current set of colors but feel like it's really missing green. Ideally, I'd go for a dark seafoam metallic green with white trim similar to the ones below. Though I'm against buying new cars generally, something like this would just be so perfect that I'd really want a new one.

Most Dealer body shops will do that. All depends on number of coats and quality of paint.

3 coats of paint. Clear coat eco. Typically Couple grand. All depends on dealer

also depends on how “good“‘of a pant job you want?

just the outside of the car?
Engine bay?
Door trim?
Underbody?
But if you start with black or grey it won’t matter too much.

Just don’t get red then want blue >.<

What a boss lol. At least with the Mustang, you can order a Bullitt in Highland Green. It looks like you can build a regular one in lime green too. Kind of strange to me that the Bronco will not have any green option standard - seems like a classic choice for any retro "Jeep" style car

No you can’t and if you want it done by the dealer/body shop it’s going to cost a lot to do properly(strip down to BIW)

or take it to Maaco. They will do it for like $500. Keep in mind that’s a VERY CHEAP paint job. 1 MAYBE 2 coats.

Can’t believe no one has suggested a Wrap. Just get a custom color wrap in any color you can imagine. Not only will it protect your paint, you can change it if your tastes change, or take it off when it’s time to sell because no doubt no one else will want your weird color choice but they will love the protected paint underneath.

duuuuh totally forgot about wraps.
~$2000 will get you a cool full wrap. ONLY issue is if your going to be off roading, chips might show up more.

Thanks for the suggestions y'all. I know that there are some good aftermarket options - wrap is probably the best in order to avoid messing with the paint. It's just that OEM paint is ideal for several reasons. Not a dealbreaker by any means - just hoping that Ford will expand its options in the future.

EDIT: have any of you messed around with dipping your car?

In my experience, a wrap is better than paint. What would have scratched or chipped my paint often doesn’t even leave a mark on the wrap. Cool stuff.

No, I haven't. As far as I knew, it was H.S and college kids doing that...for the most part.

I tend to believe that the plasti-dip craze is partly what led to wraps. I don't hear much about dipping any more, except for smaller parts like trim pieces, maybe wheels.

For 2k, and all the advantages of a wrap, it's kind of a no brainer. Or , possibly, do your homework and wrap it your self to save some $$$.

It is a good topic question though, regarding custom factory paints. I was wondering the same thing, seeing how the wife has been on a Yellow kick here lately.....I've been wondering if they have a fleet yellow for the Rangers that they could spray on the Bronco, since it's the same line.
I'm also certain it is NO WHERE near being that simple...but hey, gotta hope , right?
