Custom colors from the factory?

So I have a question about wraps. If I want a certain color wrap do I need to order a black or white paint job to make the wrap look better? Or does any color paint job work wth a wrap?

As far as I understand, the color should just cover whatever you have.

Porsche offers Paint to Sample PTS. It is typically offered on certain models and not Right away. You can choose from dozens of approved colors. They do not respray over the original paint job because this is the original paint job. Cost is now 12,000 for PTS.
