About two weeks ago I had the Zone off-road 3” lift with upper control arms installed (ZONF97) I stopped by the dealership today to get an oil change and found the CV axle came apart.
I’m assuming dealer is probably going to say it was due to the lift.

What are y’all’s thoughts?!

Is it really busted? I don't see pics of the actual damage other than the boot not being attached.

magnuson-moss warranty act definitely can't you on that one
The suspension has been modified increasing the operating angle of the CV, they can easily blame it on the lift.

Also, I understand how the M_M act works, but it's usually on the vehicle owner to fight this and it'll cost more in time and money to fight the dealer than to get it fixed. Dealerships are not afraid of this.

every car forum mentions this >> magnuson-moss warranty act

The truth is this, how big is your bank account and can you afford to take ford to court?

No doubt the 3" lift caused it. As you articulate the suspension the boot is going to want to separate due to the extreme angle. The boot is a warning as the cv joint is going to bind.

I have been denied warranty stuff before with other cars and I've used / mentioned the act twice before without any legal helping

Where did you get it installed if you don't mind me asking?

I agree 100%. You change the entire geometry of the vehicle when you install a lift and the weakest link will be exposed.

I'll even do your dealer a favor, here's the list of parts needed. Have them check the shaft part with your VIN but I think it's the same. All of the other stuff is one time use or what the manual says has to be replaced.

You’re the 4th one I’ve come across that had this happen to their CV. all instances were running the same zone 3” lift kit on SAS shocks, one of them hadn’t even been offroad once. If I had to guess, since they’re the only ones that offer an inch more than everybody else, it’s just too much lift.

only one that was able to get it warrantied was a buddy that worked at the dealership so there ya go

Curious if you have been off roading?
Nope, but now that I think of it… I got a tire rotation last week and can see how It might’ve came off when it was lifted
