Had a drivers side CV boot slinging grease due to a poor job by me making sure the clamp was seated correctly. Can anybody tell me the motorcraft part number for whatever grease Ford uses in the half shafts these days?

I wasn’t able to find a Motorcraft number that matches, but here is the grease Ford supplies when you purchase a boot repair kit. I don’t think they sell it separately.

That is interesting. I'm use to the black molly grease, but what is the yellow grease packet?

Inner and outer joints are different and require different grease.

Thought maybe. Still don't understand it as I've not seen 2 different grease packs before. Proving again what you know is all you know  . My guess is the outer gets the black molly grease???

Thanks again 🤠

Correct. The black on the outside and the yellow for the inside. From what I remember the inner has some small needle bearings which is why it requires a different type that works better for them.

You sure that isn’t backwards? The grease inside my inner boot is definitely dark gray from the factory

Do you have the part number for this boot repair kit? Doing the BajaKits pre runner and adding their extended axle. Was going to put new boots on at the same time and Ford says I can only gets boots on a whole new axle, no separate boot kit? Thanks!

I have been repacking with Moly, your not going to buy more life with any other grease.
Got it sounds good. What about Boots and clamps, just using aftermarket based on size? I can't find anyone who can look one up for the Bronco?

Can't get the boots or grease separately from Ford for badlands or sasquatch package according to the catalog.
