I have a CO coming and also have the similar dillemma. Would love to see some pics of the yellow ones on a CO Bronco.

Haven’t got mine chosen yet either. No idea why this is such a tough decision.

So I see some shackles that say something like 3/4in shackle and 7/8in pin. Then some just say 7/8in. Any idea why the different dimensions?

The pin size is generally 1/8" larger than the bow (nominal size), on the shackles you'd be looking at. If it just says 7/8" it will take a 1" pin.

Well that’s confusing. I’m sure that logic goes way back and has some sort of obscure origin.

If you plan to use them off-road for recovery purposes and are set on metal then I would personally only use Crosby shackles.

I'd highly recommend synthetic soft shackles. We carry two Bubba Rope 3/8" NexGen PRO Gator-Jaw synthetic soft shackles and two Crosby 3/4" (7/8" pin) steel shackles in our recovery kit.
