B6G on the case:

I wonder if @EricAtKearnyMesaFord could help with a contact since its probably the same zone rep.So before I named the dealer, I wanted to see if this situation could be easily remedied. So i just called the Bronco hotline again, and explained the situation. The Bronco specialist was no help. She said again that they have no control over the order priority status numbers as they are dealer-configurable. She then said my next step would be to contact the regional Ford rep. But she refused to give me that person's name/number and said I have to go through the dealer to get that info. Unbelievable!
The dealer is Encinitas Ford.
The dealer is Encinitas Ford.
I'm going to write your name down and see that its given to the proper authorities...The dealer is Encinitas Ford.
You know what might do it my man? Call your local television station, those guys are always looking to give some publicity to companies doing the wrong thing. Shine the light on them and watch the cockroaches scatterSo I have a day 2 rez, and my dealer sent me the order summary sheet on Jan 25. The priority code was 99. Order was for a 4 door Badlands/Sas/V6/MIC.
I emailed the dealer 5 times since I signed the summary sheet asking why my order status was 99. He never responded. I also never received the confirmation email from Ford due to the 99 status.
I sent the salesman a strongly-worded email a few days ago about me being unhappy with my order being held and assigned 99 status, and his lack of communication. He called me yesterday, and basically told me that his store is inputting every single order as 99 status "because the GM wants to review every order, and will input them/change status when he thinks Ford has the proper amount of parts on hand to produce the order". Salesman also said he has no idea when the GM will decide to change my order status.
WTF?
This is seriously not sitting well with me since this allows the dealer to basically pick and choose which orders get put into the system, and is ripe for shenanigans allowing the dealer to put in orders for VIPS or people willing to pay more ahead of people like me who have been patiently waiting.
Am I off base here?
Is it too late to switch to a more honest dealer since the March 19 deadline has passed?
@Axxlrod I won't dox the Ford rep by posting her info, but if you send me your info I can pass the message. DM me.I wonder if @EricAtKearnyMesaFord could help with a contact since its probably the same zone rep.
I'm not sure it qualifies yet, but they used to have a thing called the Turko Files on KUSI in SD... he ended almost every sentence with, "that ain't right"You know what might do it my man? Call your local television station, those guys are always looking to give some publicity to companies doing the wrong thing. Shine the light on them and watch the cockroaches scatter
I would start blowing them up if there is a local news station I would be letting them know squeaky wheel will get noticedI did call Ford and inquire about the situation, and they said priority codes have to be changed by the dealers. She said there was nothing Ford could do.
WIN WIN WIN no matter what!UPDATE:
Emailing the Ford regional reps worked. The GM called me directly this evening to "explain their process because obviously there is some misunderstandings".
The gist of it is that the GM explained that the dealer basically didn't bother to update the priority status from 99 when they input the orders because "the rez time stamp is what matters"; not what status the dealer puts on it".
He said that he personally was going through each order, and because Ford keeps changing the program almost weekly, he didn't worry about the status codes. His plan was to go through all the orders once the window closed, and before production deadlines, to update each order's status.
I explained that his process seemed very different than all the other dealers, as they were obviously updated the order priority codes as the orders were initially entered. Hence most people getting status 19 codes, not to mention the order confirmation emails from Ford.
So while I was on the phone with the GM, he finished entering my order and changed my status to 19, and miraculously I finally received my confirmation email from Ford.
Not sure what else can be done at this point, as my rez timestamp and my selected options will still determine my order being picked for production and ultimately, my delivery time.
Anyway, I appreciate all the support and camaraderie of all you guys.
