That's not how it works.

We’ve seen a few dealers state they can prioritize orders if they choose.

They can’t. Your reservation number and ford dictate the order.

If you are going to change dealers, do it asap. I talked to Ford Customer Service today and they confirmed that some reservation holders were shocked when they went to move their registration to another dealer and could not because their current dealer had already changed it to an order.

Two points to suggest otherwise:

1. Some dealers are openly advertising that they will do exactly this to protect current (but later) reservation holders from being bumped by transferred reservations. Bold claim if not possible. (Other dealers are explicitly advertising that they are choosing not to do this... and not that they can't do it.)

2. Ford announced that anyone who doesn't convert their order by the deadline, will just sit in limbo indefinitely until they do decide to convert. The purpose is for people to hold out until the MY22 order banks open.... but if an individual could decide to hold off conversion, a dealer could just as easily refuse to submit an order until a later date. (The reservation timestamp is still retained when it is eventually entered, so the dealer would have to hold off submitting the order until the other orders have been delivered.)

You didn't ask them about this before you moved your reservation?

They are supposed to convert all orders prior to deadline that they have. I would contact ford directly.
