Dealer installing trailer brake controller - reasonable labor hours ?

I called my dealer about installing a trailer brake controller. They haven't done one for a Bronco and don't know how long it will take. He said it is an hour for a F-150 and six hours for a Bronco Sport. Six hours of labor is too much. How long did it take your dealer?

Ask to see their Standard Repair Time manual. Ask for a quote. They have to go by that.

Assuming you have the tow package it should be an hour. It's pre-wired you just need to add the controller.

Edit. Didn't realize it was for controller only, that doesn't have time listed:

Took me about an hour to do mine in my driveway and making a couple mistakes along the way. 6 hours is Snap-On levels of fuckery.
