Morning folks,

Long time reader, first time posting. I've read numerous posts about the communication (and sometimes lack thereof) from the dealers. My hometown dealer contacted me last October and again about 2 weeks ago about purchasing a new Bronco. They were referring to the Sport. When I informed them, I wanted a Bronco not a Bronco Sport, they stated, via text, "so you're interested in the Big Bronco that hasn't been released yet ? Do you have one ordered ? Let me know because if/when I get one of these, I will call you first". They asked me if I had one ordered when the system wasn't even open yet. :unsure:

That text is troubling enough but wait.....there's more.

Today, I texted my dealer and asked about ordering a Bronco Black Diamond 2-door because the order system is open. The reply I received was: "Let me confirm this with the manager, from what I heard they aren't going to hit the ground until 2022". I gave them my reservation ID and date (14 July) and stated I was getting a ton of information from this forum. The reply I received was, "I don't know about that but some of the plants are shut down but I will find out."

So, my dealer contacted me twice to buy a Sport but when the order system opened, I heard nothing until I contacted them and they still "aren't sure" if they can take an order. SMH

UPDATE: I called the local dealer and asked to speak to their "Bronco Specialist". I was transferred to Josh. I told him I had my Reservation Number and timestamp. I asked how many reservations they had , how many allocations and where I would be in the ordering process. He ignored the first two questions and said he has no way of knowing where I would be in line. He did tell me that Ford would contact me when my Bronco is built and I could come in at that time to work the deal. I mentioned I wasn't ordering a Sport. I also mentioned I was ordering the "big Bronco" and the order system opened earlier this week. He said I'd have to talk to the Controller because that's who does all the ordering for the dealership but that person wasn't in and they will call me back. I asked if they had a dedicated "Bronco Specialist" and he said no. I hung up and will call Ford so they can add me to Bronco John's list at Stephens Auto.

I'll probably run down the road from this dealership to Stephens Auto. From what I've read on B6G, they are treating their customers well.

I'll probably run down the road from this dealership to Stephens Auto. From what I've read on B6G, they are treating their customers well.
If you want a 2021, you might ask Stephens where your reservation fits in first. I'm also a 7/14 and around 120 in line for their 70 allocations. Hard to believe a 7/14 reservation could end up only good for a 2022.

If you don't want to jump right into switching dealers try talking to the manager. My first contact at my dealer was uniformed an unenthusiastic. I talked to the manager and got a different salesman who has been fairly on top of things.

Who were you texting? An average salesman doesn't even know what's on the lot, much less anything complicated. They should have one guy dedicated to Bronco sales. You have to find him, and should have already.

Not many dealers actually spent time to gather info on the big bronco let alone the sport... there's only a few specialist and dealers that are following all the news and are active on here.

To give you an example, my partner decided to get a Bronco Sport and when we went to a few dealers to test drive and see them in person, the reps we spoke with who were "in charge" of the broncos had no idea about the different trims, the actual differences and tried to insist we buy a trim we didn't want just because he sold one the other day..... they also had ADM on the 2 they had which we were not interested in paying for. Found another dealer with the Badlands trim she wanted and got it at msrp + an added ford rebate. Even then the rep we bought from had no real knowledge of the vehicle, just was another sale for him. (Which was fine since we got our knowledge on this forum and did extra research) Sorry for the long post, but wanted to share how important the info on the forum has been and to find a dealer that actually is passionate about the bronco.

Go talk to the GM where your reservation is. If they still have no clue or won't validate with you there, then RUN. Seriously, if they can get their act together they could probably get you your Bronco sooner than Stephens....just a thought.

Mine says that ordering is not open yet as well. I sent them a reply showing them that, indeed, they are open.

I'll give it a couple of days. If I don't hear back I'll hound them.

I said in another thread, it's crazy that the dealers are so clueless, but keep in mind this is essentially day one of a two month window. There's time for them to get up to speed.

I spoke with Bronco John at Stephens. He gave me more information in 5 minutes than the other dealer did in 5 months. I will call Ford for my official timestamp of my reservation so Bronco John can tell me where I'll be in the line. BTW, he said they have roughly 397 reservations now.
