Dealer says Modular Painted Top can be ordered as service part aftersales (in future)

Aka if you order a car this year with grey top you can upgrade later! Sorry if this is obvious but good news for all!

I just talked to my sales guy (Bronco specialist for his dealership) and he forwarded me the email he got from Ford. Not a whole lot different than what's already been posted here various places on 6G. His best guess was calendar Q4 of 21 for the black modular top to become widely available. My biggest question is when is the transition to MY22? It's usually in the fall sometime. If I get kicked back that far can I just convert to a MY22 and/or spec the body color top? I'll take a black one but would prefer the body color if I'm being 100% honest.

With our reservation number and time stamp will we even get a place in line for 2022? I would assume that if we cannot order the options we want from the B&P now that tags these options as delayed delivery until 2022, then our reservation is toast? I am still trying to get my hands wrapped around the fact that each trim level has only a single seating stitching and trim color no matter what exterior color you want??? Is Ford really saying that all Wiltraks have an Area51 seat stitching and trim accents and every single Badlands is Cyber Orange???? Really?

It's painted black instead of molded in carbon grey. The rear quarter windows are removable.

Ok that's what I thought just the color and material. In my opinion I like the MIC better. You can remove the windows and the color looks better. But to each their own

Honestly if you are worried about one thing , the grill , dont be

out of ALL the parts on the bronco that are absolutely going to be switched out. Its going to be the grill

One of the interviews said that its a single piece pop out grill which means that its absolutely going to be one of the most aftermarket parts

If Ford has dropped the ball ANYWHERE...it was building and pushing this no engine mock up and getting pansy America in a tizzy and thinking they can have their custom built, personalized, new dream ride any way they want it and ready for pick up at their Ford dealer after they go by their new flannel shirt at the local Target store.

they didnt have any info saying people wanted white tops more than they wanted a jeep like vehicle (which includes black/grey tops)

The rear side windows are not removable on the MIC top. The entire rear shell is removable as one piece. The modular top is the only hard top that has removable rear side windows. "modular"

Everyone wouldn't be so upset if the MIC top was also modular.

You cannot remove the windows in the MIC top, only available to the mod top.

Then they should stop parading around the unicorns like they have been. No white tops, no mod tops, no donut doors, no 37” tires, none of the interiors (all white or black/brown). People are pissed because Ford has been showing glorified prototypes and passing them off as what you can get and they have right to be miffed about that. Get off your high horse.

Ford is making the MY22 way more appealing than the first comeback vehicles. This is a bad rollout.

White top, body color top, and mod tops are way more appealing and in my opinion better looking.

But instead of giving the die-hard fans that have been waiting and put in early reservations, they say screw you, here's what you get for being so loyal. Everyone that was on the fence, gets better options.
