man it's crazy. i'd contact all the local news outlets and hope you hit one that is having a slow day.

i'd beat down ford too even though there isn't much of a move for them. i'd at least try to force my original res back and have it transferred to a decent dealer.

assume you can't transfer dealerships at this point, and no way to get anything in writing now.
I’ve opened five “escalated” cases with Ford Motor Company and just received a letter back from the New York State Dept of Consumer Protection in which the general manager straight up lied. My next move is to contact the AG, which I fully intent to do. To anyone trying to buy a Ford. A Bronco, an F150, a used damn Escort. DO NOT GO TO EMPIRE FORD OF HUNTINGTON. DO NOT DEAL WITH DAVE TOOMEY. They’re your typical salesman who have no regard for their clients or long term relationships. On the flip, for those in the Phoenix area, I’m envious of Sanderson Ford. I would gladly have ordered from them. Wish Ford would let me move my allocation to them.

If Ford would allow the transfer I'd tell you to send the biatch here and I'd sell at MSRP or less, no DOC or other fees, just to prove a point. We have several customers that wanted one and didn't even get a courtesy sniff from Ford. I think our zone got less than 10 and a couple went to non built FEs. This shit makes me want to pound my head against the desk.

As I repeat customer of empire Ford and Dave toomy, my experience has been the polar opposite….professional, courteous and truly a delightful customer experience. This is including my most recent purchase, a new bronco. With all due respect, you sound like a nightmare of a customer. Just my humble opinion.

You can refuse to release it if it’s in your name. That could affect their allocations. If it’s not in your name, you may be out of luck. ALWAYS get an written agreement with a dealership prior to doing an order.

Of course there are always two sides to every story but I read the OP’s posts and they seem reasonable and his complaint seems legitimate. Other than the fact that you personally had a good experience with this dealer, what is it specifically that leads you to believe that the OP is a nightmare?

I squarely blame ford for this behavior, yes dealers are independent business's, but ford forces them to do all kinds of things to have the blue oval out front, they could stop this if they wanted to. Bottom line is ford really doesn't care what schenagins or unethecal practices dealers pull, the dealer is their customer, not you.

I just feel it’s a lil odd to have had a reservation for about two years and to have never “stepped in” to the dealership to inquire about anything or even simply introduce yourself, only to start threatening as soon as you don’t like how something sounds doesn’t really seem like a diplomatic approach. Remember these dealers and employees have had a tough few years like so many of us, and no one wants to deal threats and legal actions as soon as u don’t get your way. Just my two cents.

I’m glad you had a good experience. I jumped several hurdles to get that allocation and waited patiently for it. There was zero rush. Was working with a great sales guy who was as honest as he could be. It’s unfortunate that he left the dealership the day before Bronco Raptor ordering opened and I was left dealing with another and then eventually the GM. My own fault for not getting the price in writing, but I was told I had to covert my reservation to an unscheduled order to get the Raptor allocation. I would have gone elsewhere. Bottom line, this GM placed an order tied to my reservation and then lied about doing it. To my face. I have the sales order from Ford. Cool truck. Not worth $100k. Hope someone else enjoys it.

Hoping to get some advice. I was allocated a 2022 Bronco Raptor from Ford. Went to place order from my dealer and was slapped with a $25k mark up. I know this is the way of the world right now, but I’m not willing to pay that much. Held onto open order, but did not place. I get an email from Ford last week saying “congrats on your Bronco Raptor order”. I did not place order. Nor have I ever set foot in my dealership (Empire Ford of Huntington). I stopped by there on Friday and the GM came clean to me that he placed order with the intent to sell. I’m furious. Waited almost two years for this build with a rez from 7/14/2020. I’ve spoken to Ford countless times and have opened numerous cases. From those in the know, is there anything I can do here or am I screwed? Ford will not let me move order to another dealer. My current dealer willing to let me move, but I think it’s complete lip service.
I'm really surprised there hasn't been any firms that have picked up these cases and tried to present them as price gouging.

Fair enough. And I’m sorry for your frustration, but was compelled to comment on the matter, having such a different experience w the same dealership and person. Best of luck regardless.

You say it's "you allocation". But technically it's the dealer's allocation from Ford. Ford give dealers allocations. If you reserved/order a car from a dealer; they are giving you one of their allocations.
