Dealer used my reservation and ordered a Bronco without my permission, on hold with Ford customer care now! ?

That's not a "non-answers"... Allocations aren't calculated until March when all converted orders are in...

If anything your dealer is giving you a more accurate answer than those that are quoting some loosey-goosey estimate Ford supplied them based on current reservations and estimated conversion rates.

Yeah, ok. That's fair. I would have liked a, we have 150 reservations, you are number 81. You probably won't get one this year. lol

They should have received this... and been able to give you a relative answer based on everything.

(though I can still see them worried that they'll get a bunch of cancellations/non-orders that would have bumped you up, but if they quote now it would spook you to transfer to another dealer)

Exactly. That's what I was expecting... oh well. I'm going to wait until like mid Feb to maybe place.

Dealers automatically converting reservations into orders?? Yikes. Looks like their end goal is to order as many as possible so they can sell them 10-15k over sticker when the res holder backs out because they were never sure they wanted to go through with the order in the first place.

This happened recently with a coworker of mine—she had a single reservation for a Sport, and someone at the dealership placed an order using her only reservation—it's not even the right color. She's more than upset and has been getting the runaround. Grrrr

My dealer called 15 minutes (10:45am January 20th) ago and TOLD me an I have an appointment at 3:30 this afternoon (January 20th) to come in and order my Bronco. I was told that if I miss this appointment my reservation will be canceled. I'm on the phone with Ford now.
