Dealer used my reservation and ordered a Bronco without my permission, on hold with Ford customer care now! ?

I emailed Mike Levine about my problem and he responded within 10 minutes thanking me for letting him know and that he’d be in touch.

I also would like to send a complaint - issue with my dealer said msrp no mark up , they did a bait and switch when tried to convert my reservation to order saying not honoring msrp because of low supply and demand . my reservation 7-13 first edition 4 door dealer wants 10k mark up so i call 3 other dealers in my CA area told they are not marking them up , yet can not take my transfer because allocations are all spoken for and will honor there loyal customers . Meantime i will be researching other options .

I went into my Ford account and it says order placed 1/20. Hmmm so I was considering switching dealerships to whomever gave me a better deal....but does this mean I can't at all now? SNEAKY

Maybe we should have a list of offending dealers.
Make it easier on Ford to figure out who is not on the up and up. Also to come up with a list of customers who’ve been affected.

Same just happened to my at my current dealer.. First Ford in Fall River,MA. They don't have any answers for me other than the system is down.

I don't know why dealers are even doing this. I'm not converting any customers over to orders until they have either sat down with me and we have gone over everything or we have spoken over the phone about everything as well. Dealers need to be careful, I can see Ford doing something if enough people complain about dealers doing this.

Update:

Good news bad news thing. Good news, Im in the system REALLY early. Bad news, they did this without my knowledge. Ford customer confirmed it is an order and now I cant change dealers. When i went in to the ford account it just shows where it used to say reservation date it now says order date(mine said Jan 19) and then the reservation number is now an order number.

I think they were trying to pull a fast one and keep the order. (reservation was for Badlands 20 minutes after reveal). In fact im the badlands thread starter on here. My salesman is off today but hes going in to work now to see whats up, I actually think he had no clue. The dealership is 100 miles from me right now but i didnt change because i knew they would get a big allocation. But my son goes to college there so Im going to get him to go by there and get some paperwork to make sure its MSRP when i get it. (going to get them to notarize it too)

Will update shortly, salesman suppose to call me back.


Another Update:

OK, saleman called me with the inventory manager(guy that does the ordering)..Inventory manage said he went into system last night to get familiar with it, and didnt know it would save it.
He said it was his fault.

We'll never know the truth, but the truth is i do have an order with jan 19 timestamp, at msrp(in writing).....and I ordered it today without any of the deadly seven(really wanted 6 cylinder, oh well) but Im thinking this will be one of the first ones.

I have a July reservation and a October. My dealer insisted that I use my October reservation because "The July reservation was cancelled" and "You are going to end up with a 2022 anyhow because you chose the Sasquatch and 2.7l"

They also said my July reservation was cancelled because it had been refunded. - I had moved the reservation to their dealership in August and that refunded the deposit. (they also didn't let me use my regular sales rep, they made use a "Bronco specialist".) The whole point of moving to their dealership was to use the guy I trusted and had bought 3 ford from before.

Even if I did order a 2022 only build, I would want to use that JULY reservation to keep my priority. And as I was arguing this, they went ahead and put in my October reservation as an order.

I had to get the GM involved and now have two Broncos on order, with the exact same build. Though the October 23rd is guaranteed be a 2022, and the other will most likely come in as a 2021. I wasn't even sure if I was going to fulfill the October order, it depended on multiple things (does my wife want one? how are the new interriors and colors? is MOD top easy to get or should I order a 2022?)

I still need to confirm with Ford that the Bronco I received a Confirmation on is the July order number. These people be shady.

if is is widespread, then the confusion or loophole or incentive (intentional or not) is Ford's fault.

There may be some one-off errors here but Its laughable that most dealers would innocently do this seeing how little vehicle information is even contained in your initial reservation. How could they input anything you want other than the initial model you reserved?

So has anyone thought about this? Since all these dealers are using the same tactic - maybe a little contact and then converting without consent. Do you think that maybe someone at Ford told them this is acceptable? Don't you think there was some communication from Ford to do this and let them know they can do this? Kind of like giving permission and an idea?
This is not 20 plus dealers thinking and doing the same- there is a higher direction to do this.
