Squeaky wheel gets the grease. The problem can't be fixed if it isn't known. Use any available media you know. You won't hurt anyone but yourself if you just do nothing.
Everyone getting shafted by their dealers should be lighting Ford up on social media. If you you're part of that group and don't have twitter, create one, tell your story, and put them on blast for the world to see.

Wow! Dealer processed my FE reservation last night without any build input from me. The only call I received was a rushed call to say order processing has opened. Up until this point, dealer communication has been nonexistent since the 7/14 confirmation email. I called the dealership back last night to tell them I am confused about how he processed the order with no build specs, He stated it was the build specs from my reservation on 7/14.

This was my post from yesterday, The follow-up call to Britany at Ford Customer Support/Marketing was great until she forwarded me to the Bronco Specialist. The Bronco Specialist stated the order has been placed. I asked how can an order be placed with no customer input. She just stated once it is placed as an order only the dealer can make changes to it. This includes changing to a different dealer. So, I am sad to say not much help from Ford Support/Marketing.

This is Crazy, Shady dealers trying to lock in reservation holders. I'm not a lawyer but I smell fraud and foul play. Class action suit if Ford doesn't step up and make this right. I plan on switching dealers in the morning, but if my original dealer locked me in they better lawyer up, as I've already notified them I'll be transferring my reservation.
Ford Bronco Dealer used my reservation and ordered a Bronco without my permission, on hold with Ford customer care now! ? giphy (2)

You guys made me nervous, so I checked my reservation since I have spoken to my dealer. I told him I want a MY22. Thankfully, it's still a reservation. There are some skeevy dealers out there. I'm really sorry this is happening to so many of you. To wait so long for a Bronco, only to be tricked at the last minute for someone else's personal gain is very upsetting.

This sucks. I’ll work the twit machine and see if Levine has any words of wisdom. (That wasn’t meant to be funny)
Besides contacting automotive news sites and news outlets to create media pressure, please also start asking Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford, to fix this mess, he is the only one with the power to change things.

Here is his link on Twitter:

My dealer contacted me on the 18th and asked me to send him my B&P. I did, and he got back to me immediately regarding my “deadly six” choices and possible delay. I said “I’ll wait”. He then told me it would get sent to his ordering person and get it ordered after the order banks opened up.

My status on ford.com is “In-Store Order” for the trim I selected at reservation time (3a EST on 7/14). Not concerned. I figure they just wanted to get it converted and it’ll change to confirmed with my B&P selections once they actually get it entered. I’m dealing with Coconut Point Ford in Estero, FL.

So these folks can change everything, except dealers? I recall that it was stated a bunch of times that once ordered, no changes to model trim or number of doors was allowed. If some dealers are converting automatically to the model/door choice on the reservation, they better allow a fix to change the model and the doors (and to a dealer locking someone in and then telling them ADM... I have no words that can convey my disappointment with them as human beings.)

If they can’t revert order to reservation (which is BS IMO someone can manually override)

1: Add a new “part” to select in the order that will identify it and automatically delay it for MY22
2. Anyone who got screwed gets X plan or invoice price

That should solve the issues.

Once it goes to an order, Ford is out, they can expedite the order, but they cannot force the dealer to do anything with pricing

They can strongly encourage by threat of the supposed “sanctions”

Sure Joe, they can encourage, cajole, beg, any number of things, but they cannot force, as you advocated, them to do a specific price.

I am in touch with the DFP writer previously recommended. She has responded and we are scheduling time to discuss today or tomorrow. If a few people can PM me a brief summary of their Situation, impact, and contact info, I can pass it along. She requested a few other contacts.

Meanwhile, I will be giving Ford and my dealer the benefit of the doubt that mine was done in error, and the ability to rectify. I will try contacting both today.

I wish I could say that I can't believe this was happening, but.... Definitely sorry that you all are having this done to you - I would be livid. I can say that even though this hasn't been done to me yet, I will never go through one of these BS reservation processes again if crap like this is permitted to continue without full redress by Ford Motor Company and, quite frankly, the dealers pulling this s***. Blow up social media and auto industry outlets to put max pressure on those at fault and those who can fix it on the corporate level.
