Dealers are going to make a killing off of the Bronco

As noted by the number of threads rolling around over the last few days of surprise pricing, converting orders without consent to lock buyers in, etc.

And these are by buyers that searched out this website to get some information (maybe not enough) and joined B6G and they are nearly getting fleeced by these dealers.

I can only imagine the % of reservation holders that haven't been part of the information overload we have all created here that are completely clueless. They are like chum for many of these dealers.

Given that 90% of dealers are unscrupulous, none of this surprises me.

I'm always thankful when I find one of the 10% good ones, and stick with 'em.

For any large purchase, it is important to mitigate risk by comprehensive due-diligence. This website is an excellent resource that is free.

This is an expensive purchase. Too many people rely on the dealer to do everything. Take care of the trade-in, arrange financing, secure the extended warranty, modify the vehicle, and so forth. The buyer acts as if the dealer is a private concierge.

A concierge needs a tip- a cash incentive to render service. So the more work the dealer does, the more money it will cost you. That simple.

If people can’t spend a few hours familiarizing themselves with their rights, then they can spend a few thousand or more extra paying for their lack of knowledge. The ones that really grind my gears are the willful, deliberately-ignorant buyer who then believes their poor experience is everyone’s plight.

Totally agree with you most all dealers are shady and do shady shit it’s just the nature of the business now it’s sad to this is why buying a new vehicle is so stressful for so many people

It’s unfortunate dealers are like this. They perform the job everyday. Most people buy a new car every 3-10 years. Do your homework. If you can’t talk openly with your dealer without feeling reservations, find a new dealer.
