This makes my blood boil.

Saw this in the Ontario Bronco club:

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/groups/ontario-bronco-club.31/

Looks like a small dealership 50min North West of me has sold their dealer demo.... While my Day3 reservation still doesn't have a VIN
I didnt see anywhere that it was sold, though there was a bunch of chatter of various topics in what you linked, can you post where they sold the unit, having a unit on the lot in itself isn't any indication they sold their demo unit, as they can also sell a unit someone cancelled on, though this is still annoying too.

I haven't read all the replies - are you sure it's a demo? Could be one that a customer didn't end up buying.

I suppose it could be a cancelled reservation, but from my communications with my local salesman (in a town with 150x the population, and only 3 dealerships) is that they aren't expecting their Demos until late next week, and definitely not expecting customer orders until early July.

Do you know it's actually for sale?

I thought they had to hold it for 6 months
They are supposed to hold them for 6 months. If they choose to sell there will be ramifications in future allocations.

Also, I see no evidence in the post that the Bronco pictured is for sale, or has been sold, or even is a demo.

They have to hold it for 6 months if they wish to comply with the program and don't want to incur penalties... but in the end it's their bronco to do with whatever they want.

(They don't even have to let people drive it, some dealerships are using if for a service dept loaner, others are leaving it locked in the show room to sell in 6mo with 3 miles on it)

For my mental health maybe I'll drive there and ask. I shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Just as @Mickey21 said, I don’t see anything anywhere that says they sold it...

Just because it is on the lot/in inventory/ on the website does not mean they sold it or are actively trying to sell it... Maybe bring your blood down to a low simmer.

when I heard they were getting demos I knew the next step would be them selling them. In fact I know that some dealers are "Brokering" ones that come in and customers want to turn a quick profit on.

My salesman told me yesterday that they got their demo/maniquain and it is already sold to a customer. He said they can't get it for 6 months.(probably still get it before my early reservation)And it will sit on the showroom floor the whole time.

Exactly, hell, it can be there because it is in transit to a car event, media event, service of a vehicle in media usage, so many reasons. How these units are sent to arrive at dealers (small or large city) is also a mystery that is left, right, and center of defying all logic.
