Dealership saying MY22 order banks opening on August 17th

So I called my dealer last week to schedule an appointment for a MY22 build and he said he first day available would be August 17th. I have an appointment, but all I'm seeing online and through the forums is September/October. I called him again today and he confirmed that he's being told the "Order banks for the 2022s will open on August 17th" and I'll have all the 2022 options available to choose from.

I'm fully expecting him to be wrong, but curious what others think is going on here.

August 17-Dealer: “Hey buddy boy, thanks for dropping in to order your 2022 Bronco. I actually got my hands on a preproduction 2022 for a few days. Would you like to sit in it?”
OP-“Sure!!!”
