My dealership has been really great so far in terms of overall comunication. From simple to more complex questions, they've been great. However, any time I bring up or ask about their allocation numbers, they go radio silent. I've noticed that forum-goers here know their dealer's allocation numbers and even their place in line relative to the total allocation.

Should this be concerning at all? Are they trying to hide their allocation numbers in fear of me going to a different dealership? What gives?

Don't sweat it, they are under no obligation to tell you allocation numbers. For all they know you could tell a friend or family member and that info would get back to a competing dealership or work yet, spread online... Some just don't like that sort of info out in the public. If they have been responsive to everything else, then I think you're fine.

My dealer is the same way. They wonā€™t tell me how many unfulfilled orders are ahead of me, where I was overall in line, or allocation numbers. Itā€™s very frustrating.

I was told this info by my dealer, but what ever number you are, it doesn't put you 'in line' at that spot. Just means you were #x ordering from them. Anyone before or after you can get their Bronco before you though, depending on your build and material availability and if lots are behind you that can be built, you might just fall out of this year's allocation all together. It's information I found somewhat interesting, but really not very meaningful in regards to when I'll get mine.

I was like you and went in and sat down with the Bronco Specialist and he told me their allocation number from the get go and that it went up as orders poured in but your place in line isnā€™t really relevant at the moment...basically if you have an easy build youā€™ll be scheduled before someone that has a Wildtrak for instance. Someone on the Bronco Nation forum had a November reservation for a 4 door soft top Big Bend and already had it built šŸ˜’ Iā€™ve got a September reservation for a Wildtrak and donā€™t expect it til hopefully by this time next year...which is fine for us, just means weā€™ll extend our lease some before turning it in and weā€™ll have saved more money for the down payment.

They're looking for builds they have the parts for. Time stamp/dealer allocation takes a back seat...

It makes a difference if there are 10 hard top orders versus 2 ahead of yours. Itā€™s probably the difference between a 21 and a 22. Without this transparency, making an informed decision whether or not to move on isnā€™t possible.

I wouldn't be doing business with a dealer that wouldn't disclose that info. It gives you power as a consumer to choose a dealer with an allocation that best fits your needs. This is definitely important if you are trying to get a MY21. I know exactly where I stand at my dealer and know exactly what everyone ahead and behind me has ordered and if they have been scheduled yet.
