Perhaps, so much misinformation out there. They made it sound like they were theirs. They said "We were originally allocated 2 Broncos to use as demos but now we have been allocated 4". Made it sound that as their reservations went up, their allocated demos went up. Said they would be at the dealership for people to test out when they came to finalize order and pricing details.
Yes. I received an email, from Kearny Mesa, to say they had six Ford demos coming in... 4-Broncos and 4-Bronco Sports. I think its just Fords way to let us see them, before we place the orders.

Your dealer may very well be correct.
This scenario has been confirmed from several inside sources for a while now.

Could be confused with the Sport, but 2 months ago I was at a dealership for a different vehicle. Started talking about the Bronco and the salesperson said that a few of the 'salespeople' there had reserved Bronco's... for dealer stock. Now take that for what it's worth, could've just been a salesperson talking out their ass. I don't know. But it wouldn't surprise me.
Why do you think they worked so hard to squeeze Ford into canceling the X-plan for the Bronco. They can ADM their way through any penalty Ford imposes for not delivering to the reservation holder. Even allocations for F-150. Just front load the profits for the lost F-150 into the Bronco, and it's all the better.

Seems to validate my concern
People with reservation order - dealer marks up price when delivered to original reservation holder to make them walk
Call their buddy and sell it to them at msrp
Sounds like Ford has created rules to keep this from happening ?
I actually have felt my dealer may try to do this to me - been shopping a change
Hey there UVa fan! Check out Tri-County Ford in Keysville, Va. Small dealership. Mark Harding , the owner, has been brutally honest with me. He will treat you right. It may be a drive to get it, but it will be worth it. He will give you the best price he is allowed to give you by Ford. They have some crazy rules on other cars, like the Mach-E, but he still does not know how Ford will handle pricing on the Bronco. You have some time before you cannot switch. Don't rush and jump ship on your current dealer until we get close to December/January and they know what they can do.

Make fun all you want but it was a legitimate question. My brother in law is being told by his dealership that they'll have a bronco for him this spring - even though he never made a reservation. If that's the case then there's some shady shit going on.
LOL chill its sarcasm

Dealers always do that stuff on specialty vehicles. That’s why several are saying they will have Broncos on their lot, in May and June.

ok. If a dealership has 30 Staff, and they can each order 2 Broncos, that’s 60 units. Then consider how many of them have a wife or a husband, equals ____. Then...

He will "give you the best price he is allowed to by Ford"? Ford can't restrict the pricing on the bottom for a dealer, if he wants to offer it. I'm in Virginia, keep us informed if he is willing to match some of the better deals out there (Stephens at $1k below invoice). Thanks.

I haven’t seen Fords written policy on this but multiple dealers have told me they are getting a small number of Broncos each not tied to reservation holders that they will sell at an over MSRP price while reservation holders will get to purchase their reserved ones at MSRP. I think this could be Fords way of letting dealers offer Broncos to loyal customers that may not have reserved one but honestly who knows until the time comes.

With the penalties that Ford has in place for this very type of shenanigans, those 60 or so Broncos will be the only ones that dealership will sell for a loooong time.

I don’t know about that. More and more this is just becoming an allocation exercise based on dealer size, and a reservation has very little meaning. I mean for 2022 they even removed the FAQ that reservations would be built before stock. Will Ford cower in a corner like they did already when the dealers raise their hand against these “penalties”. Looks like it.

It is very disappointing that Ford hasn't come clean on the MY2022 reservations vs dealer stock allocation issue. But if a dealership tries to game the system they won't have to worry about allocations. Assuming Ford sticks to their guns

Your last sentence is the problem, as they’ve already crumbled against their commitment to reservation holders, with the first sign of push back from big dealers.

I agree that some dealers had employees reserve to add to stock. It's been out there for months that Ford was going to ship a couple out to each dealer as trainers/demos.
