Dear Ford, can we have molded rubber rear seatbacks and cargo floor?

Dear @Ford Motor Company,

I'm pretty sure you said a year ago that future Bronco 4 door and 2 doors would get the rubberized cargo floor and rear seat backs, remember...?
Would love to see this as standard in B&P for MY22

Regards,

I don't really want rubberized but maybe a good plastic rear seat back. Something durable with no worries if it gets wet.

Something that is able to be washed out with ease, especially on BL and BD trims.

I seriously wish this was the case with all Broncos on the low end of the spectrum. Carpet should be optional and everything else should be vinyl, rubberized, or plastic. Its the only thing keeping me from Basemansquatch.

Only thing is…it’s definitely not the future yet, we don’t have our Broncos! lol

Dear Ford,

Please make the interior of the Bronco out of shag carpeting. The shaggier, the better. I want it to absorb so much water, it puts the vehicle over the recommended payload capacity.

Thank you.

The problem is plastic seat backs scratch when you breathe on them. I've yet to meet a hard plastic interior piece that can take the abuse a rear seat back takes. The hard side plastics in any vehicle's cargo area can attest to that. ☹

Ford has calculated the rubber seat backing will be 170 micro grams heavier than caprpeting and therefore cause an unnecessary rollover risk.

Therefore all Bronco's, starting in MY22, will include this in the glovebox:

How often do you fold your seats and wash them out? You're just asking for the interior frame to rust prematurely

The hard plastics in the cargo scratch/scuff easily and after a single year will looks like shit all the stuff that I plan (and already) have thrown back there. Boggles my mind there isn’t a better solution out there - but, that worn look will have some sort of appeal to it after a while.

I have to double check - but, the plastics in the cargo of our Transit seem much more rugged.

Who said anything about the type of material Ford may or may not use in possibly adding a non-carpet floor in the cargo area?? Lol
Dear Ford... Don't use cheap, scratchy plastic in the cargo area, Mmkay?
🤷

I'm digging up this old thread because I'm not having luck finding rubberized rear seatbacks. Anyone find a solution?
