Hope this has not been posted before.

For those who are interested in knowing a bit more on the technical side of the Bronco's automatic transmission, here are a series of article from Transmission Digest.

The Year of the 10-speed

Quick Peek at New Ford / GM 10 Speed

10R80/10L90 10-Speed Solenoid Function

Ford & GM 10R80/10L90 Speed Sensor Functions

10R80/10L90 Ford & GM Ten Speed Unique Filter System

Bonus: Aluminum transmission pan to replace the plastic OEM pan.
I've had a CVT for the last 6 years and can't wait to get the 10 speed automatic. I was considering the 7spd manual but I really want the 2.7l so that was out the window. I was impressed when I read about the learning capabilities of the 10 spd and how it can adapt to driving habits to get better mpg and power.

Pretty much same thought process for me. In a sports car/coupe/sedan, I would always prefer a manual over an automatic. For the Bronco, I wanted the V6. The automatic is the only option for this engine, unfortunately.

For those of you interested in a deeper pan, here is one in development.

That extra fluid and cooling capacity would be a big benefit to hard off roading or long cruises on southern interstates. I wonder if there would be any impact to factory warrantee?

Not to mention the ability to drill/tap a fitting for a sensor for tuning/monitoring!

Hmm...would have to look at the coverage of the skid plates to make sure there's clearance but agreed more capacity would be a plus.
As noted on the page itself:

"PML designed this deep transmission pan to maintain clearance on trucks and SUVs. It should not hang down below the frame and should not hit skid plates or sound dampener covers."

Granted, that's likely based on the F-150 they show it installed on, but hoping they've also looked at Ranger. Could be an issue on Bronco, depending on how plates are designed, but I suspect this should still hew fairly close to the original pan dimensions.

I have one of their pans on my Sierra right now, and can't speak highly enough of it and the company. VERY well-made, the addition of a drain plug is super useful if you plan on regularly changing fluid for long-term preventative maintenance, and their customer support is top-notch.

This is the 10 speed in the new ranger right? I reserved a manual, and I'd love to keep that, but my wife refuses to learn stick and I also want to drive my Challenger sometimes (auto) I could maybe test a 2.3L ranger with the auto and see how it drives to get a feel for it if this is the same.

there is already multiple sensors inside the transmission for any kind of data you could possibly want.

Warranty would probably depend on the dealership doing the work. Some are more acceptable to aftermarket parts than others.
