Correct. Some people mistake the setup for an air mattress and want to inflate it. Its a hybrid foam/air mat so it needs to self inflate (or self expand) so as not to ruin the foam or over inflate it. A pump can be used to assist in deflating/suck the air out if desired.

We do have longer solo mats. The next size up would be 68", which would work in an instance where someone has built a higher platform. This one, at 60", was made to be used by those with no mods. But there's options......

Can you talk more about the extended 68'' length option? For those of us with higher platforms (and more available length). Is it still custom/form-fitting to the 2-door? Or is it more of a generic mat.

I can’t say enough good things about my deep sleep 4-door mats. More comfortable than my bed mattress and a quality product. I’m 6’3” and I fit (I can imagine fitting just fine in a 2-door on an angle. I’m a cheap ass and these are totally worth the investment.
