Hello all. My FE is supposed to arrive next week. I'm super excited. Has anyone put together a list of things to examine prior to accepting delivery? Hood alignment, coolant hose clamp, etc.
I figure someone has been working on something.
Thanks in advance.

Personally, I have told my dealer like 50 times to not install my front license plate and that I'll do it myself.

Uh check that the negative terminal on the battery is actually connected correctly. Mine wasn't and I suffered a full power loss at an intersection and was stuck for 30-40 minutes. Someone else posted that they experienced the same thing on the highway last week.

Make sure your toolkit is in the glovebox with all of the tools - not heard of any problems.
The tailgate hinge area is prone to minor paint issues.
Inspect the stitching all around on the soft top - rare.

If you have a 2.7 engine make sure the hose near the pully is zip tied or secured away from the pully. You can find several threads here where the hose wasn't secured and the pully ripped into the hose causing a coolant leak.

I've read about paint bubbles and other paint defects. They should at least inspect and note before you get it so if it's a problem down the road they know it was there from the beginning.

There are issues with dropped valves in some of the engines; not sure if they can see based on engine serial numbers or mod info if yours is in that batch.

If you have a soft top they should run it through their car wash to make sure nothing leaks from the top. If it does, it should be noted and plans to resolve it via warranty.

Any TSBs should be reviewed and handled prior to delivery as well.

1) MIC top... every square inch, inside and out
2) Panel alignment (hood, doors, bumpers, etc.)
3) Interior (correct seats, non- mismatched parts)
4) Underhood (give it a once over)
5) Underbody (make sure everything looks as you expect it, nothing loose or hanging)
6) Is it built as-ordered?
