I reserved my OBX in July so I should get it in 2021, looks like June -July time frame from best questimate . The problem is my lease on my Hellcat is up in 141 days, March 18th 2021. I remember when I first ordered that the thought was they would be delivered March-April- or maybe as lae as May timeframe. Now, I could be without a car for 3-4 months and I do not think I can realistically do that.

Anyone in the same boat? I could possibly extend my lease month to month but I need to check if that is an option. Anyone have a solution?

I love the this new Bronco and really want to make it work.

Thanks

Those pre-orders are awesome things.

Buy the lease and trade it in.

You can see if your lease can be extended, if you were ordering same make from same dealer, I'd bet on it happening, but switching brands, I don't know.

It's worth checking, worst they can do is tell you no.

Rental car companies rent by the month as well, would think a Hellcat monthly lease should get you something decent.

I figured this was the best option. My wife has new Pilot so we have a 2nd car but we both work and Atlanta is not a great commuter area.

In a similar boat. I can extend my lease with Toyota up to six months, but I donā€™t think six months will be enough. I really donā€™t want to buy the car, just to turn around and trade it in a short period later. So Iā€™m on the quest for a junker...just to have for emergency purposes.

I would reach out to your dealer where you have your lease now and see if they have an option for you.

Dude, just extend your lease. Almost every lease has a 6 mos extension, and some have 12 mos.

They are typically MTM, so pick whichever is longest. Dont forget, if youre under mileage, its better to have more cushion on the term overlapping the Bronco date. Why? Besides obvious reasons...if youre still in your lease when your Bronco is ready, you may be able to get Ford to buy you out of your lease and cut you a check for some of your lease equity. And if they arent interested, you could shop around other dealers of the same make, or those who dont mind mixed inventory.

For those guys falling short a couple months, i highly recommend not buying it / trading it in, if it could be avoided. Right off the bat youre in the hole for sales tax, and need to offset that amount.

Put your lease money into a cheap rental and keep the extra for down payment and that is a win-win situation.
