I'm not sure how to describe how I feel.
God has it out for you, my man.

Too bad you can’t find out which auction probably pay 10k or better less than sticker. If they re order it’s gonna cost you more $$ they are going to honor any price protection.

It’s repairable, but won’t have a warranty. I wouldn’t want it.
Don’t see why this should effect any warranty besides the corrosion/paint warranty. Hail would have no effect on the drivetrain, mechanicals.

Probably dealer auctio,no public bids.

We had hailstorms abput 2 years ago dated several hundred units on dealer lots but a company came in tagged them all for repair.

Then a few years before that out in Colorado there was a super hailstorm took out half the roof at The outlet mall, devastated thousands of cars, and now the dealers have put up carports to converter new onventory

I'm perplexed that for these damaged in transport vehicles they don't immediately get rebuilt. It makes no sense.
Vehicles damaged in transport normally get repaired by the receiving dealership, and then the transport company gets billed. This happens all the time, and is usually transparent to the customer, as there is no requirement to disclose the repair.

However, if the damage is over $1500 or 5% of the value (depends on state law) then the vehicle cannot be sold as new. In that case, the vehicle is generally sold as-is at auction, or crushed.

Has the OP talked to the dealership yet? Do we have anything more than Ford chat?

I think this only applies to disclosable damage and most states have a higher limit.

This seems so odd to me. Why wouldn't Ford just build a replacement and ship it instead? Why would they even contact the buyer? Should just be, " hey, due to circumstances beyond our control, your truck was destroyed by hail. But, no worries, we are building a replacement truck now and will ship it after a short delay."
