Did anyone else notice the "T" top forward roof panels?

I was watching this video on youtube and spotted split forward roof panels on the bronco.

I had always assumed that it was just three main panels, not a split front panel. Cool!

Just one extra seam for wind noise and water leaks

For the benefit of being able to open only one side, and making the removal a little easier?

Maybe it makes removing the front panels so much easier for smaller owners that they decided it was worth it

the other benefit is going to be storage, a whole lot easier having the 2 smaller panels to stow while out.

perhaps!. I do like the idea though, my 4runner had a sun roof and it looks like this is really the closet thing to that for the bronco.

Agreed... easy storage with the split front panel.
A passenger may also appreciate the sun coverage in front... ultimate dual climate!

With all the constraints Ford engineers/ styling dept. had faced- they really nailed the Gen 6 modular Design out of the park!

I thought this has been common knowledge for a minute now. The 2 door will have a 3 piece roof, the 4 door will have a 4 piece roof, with both have the split front section. I think JK's and JL's have been like this. Makes them easier to manage, since these are the parts that will most likely be removed and reinstalled most frequently.

The piece that goes over the rear seats is a single piece. So two over the front, one over the back, and the rear cargo equals 4 piece. There is talk of an optional modular top that allows the rear side windows to come out separately.
